Architecture & Props

A monumental tree-giant statue built with multiple sculpt variations before a final design was locked. The sculpt-variation images shown here are deliberately included as reference material for students: they show the same wood-giant concept explored through several silhouette and detail passes in ZBrush before one version was carried forward into the final Unreal Engine 5 scene render. Committing to variation exploration at the sculpt stage — rather than jumping straight to a single detailed pass — is what let the final design read clearly as "ancient" rather than just "big."
Four images cover the piece: the two sculpt-variation studies side by side, the chosen sculpt on its own, and the final scene render. Keeping rejected variations in the gallery alongside the finished piece is a deliberate choice — showing the discarded silhouettes is often more instructive for a student than the polished final render alone, since it makes the actual decision-making visible rather than hidden. Filed under Architecture & Props despite its character-like presence, the giant functions as a landmark statue rather than a playable character — closer in role to the temple or fountain elsewhere in that category than to the bosses filed separately.
