A modular nature kit built from hand-sculpted tree trunks, broken tree parts, and rock formations, designed to be scattered and recombined across an environment rather than placed as one-off hero assets. The trunks and rocks were sculpted in ZBrush for organic surface detail, rendered in Blender for material and lighting checks, then assembled into full forest scenes in Unreal Engine 5. Keeping the trees and rocks modular — trunk, branch, and root pieces authored separately — let the same handful of assets cover a full forest floor without any single tree obviously repeating.
Eleven reference images track the kit's development, from individual tree-log and rock sculpts through to fully dressed forest scenes with and without foliage layered on top — shown separately because foliage density is one of the easiest things to over-tune, and comparing bare geometry against the dressed version keeps that check honest. Nature-kit construction like this is a recurring exercise in the 3D Environment Masterclass, where modularity is treated as a budget constraint, not a stylistic preference — a handful of trunk and rock variants has to cover an entire forest floor without the polycount or texture memory budget for anything unique.
