Bright Locations
9 images
A rustic farmstead scene combining hand-built wood architecture with a sculpted stone statue as its centrepiece. The wood beams and stone architectural details were sculpted and clay-rendered in ZBrush to nail the carpentry joinery and weathering before texturing, while the statue got its own dedicated sculpt pass to stand out as the scene's focal prop. Everything was brought together and lit in Unreal Engine 5 for the final renders. The goal was a lived-in, working farm rather than a generic fantasy backdrop — every beam and corner joint needed to look load-bearing.
Nine images cover the piece, including close-up clay renders of the wood beams, corner joinery, and stone architectural trim shown separately from the full scene shots — a deliberate choice, since wood-joint detail that reads fine from a distance often falls apart under a close camera, and catching that early avoids a costly re-sculpt after the scene is already lit and dressed. As with the other Bright Locations pieces, the final palette stays warm and saturated, reinforcing that this is meant to feel like a safe, early-game waypoint rather than a threat.
